Who we are

Sharing with Compassion Inc. are a growing not-for-profit organisation; a passionate group of people dedicated to assisting students in Uganda. Our organisation has completed major works for Hope and Care Primary School, and High Standard Secondary College, and their surrounding communities in the Wakiso and Kaboga districts of Uganda. We have also recently been in contact with Central Christian Secondary College, in regards to how we might best assist their school, and the local community with their future development plans.

Completed Projects

Every dollar raised goes towards funding construction efforts and assisting the schools and their respective communities, with much work having been completed to date. So far, we have raised approximately $35,000 for our sponsor schools, which has facilitated major infrastructure development for campuses and local communities. Sharing with Compassion Inc. has also partnered with Container for Hope, Rotary Donations in Kind, and Mission World Aid, to collect and send items to Uganda, and has provided financing to cover the related administration costs.

Girls Dormitory Project

Sharing with Compassion Incorporation has raised $18,000 in funding, which facilitated the building of a new girls’ dormitory at the High Standard Secondary College, one of our sponsor schools located in Kateera, Uganda. Our organisation partnered with Zonta international, an international charity providing advocacy and support to empower women around the world, who generously donated sufficient funds to buy three triple bunks for the dormitory. This will ensure more girls throughout the Kareera area will know have the opportunity to recieve a secondary education.

Well & Water Purification Project

As part of our commitment to supporting the High Standard Secondary College, we, in conjunction with churches and other organisations within the Tea Tree Gully community, funded a well for the school. This was a very successful project and the school was supplied with fresh water. Recently however, the water became contaminated, and it became necessary to install a purification system. Additional work was then required due to receding water level, leaving the school without water. With some persistent fundraising, there was sufficient funds to dig down another 13 feet to reach the water table to again supply the college with clean, fresh water.

Hope and Care Primary School

Well & Latrine Project

Sharing with Compassion has provided financing to cover the cost of council fees for the construction of a proposed new building complex for Hope and Care Primary School, in August 2017 the plans were approved by council, and the builders are ready to start when sufficient money becomes available. The council has stipulated that the toilets/latrines are to be built first, so Sharing with Compassion Inc., has raised and sent $2500 to begin the digging of the latrines. In addition to this, with help from Sharing with Compassion, the local community was able to drill a well on one parameter of the block, to be used by both the school and the local community. The well was completed on August 22nd and the water is pure and drinkable. The school will share in the cost of the well.

Planned Works

Hope and Care Primary School

A new property has been purchased nearby, and plans have been drawn up, which will give the community a more substantial and permanent school. In August 2017 the plans were approved by council, and the builders will be ready to start when sufficient money becomes available. Preparation for the building has now commenced. When the money is used, work will cease until more finances are raised.
